Just outside the town of Amity sits the beautiful Pelos Sandberg Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills. Planted in 2002 and meticulously farmed by Don Sandberg. Its mix of volcanic and marine sedimentary soils gives the site added complexity, and the vineyard is farmed sustainably through the LIVE program. We work with the Pappou block and a single clone of Pinot Noir, Pommard, which consistently gives us an elegant, structured, and compelling expression of this special site.
Aromas of blood orange peel, woodland herbs, cool black raspberry, and crushed stone lead into flavors of cranberry, brambly red fruit, and dark berries. Sleek and energetic across the palate, the wine is carried by bright acidity, refined tannins, and a subtle cooling herbal note. A gentle floral lift and mouthwatering mineral finish bring precision and remarkably easy drinking.
