This is a single barrel of Vivid Chardonnay that we just couldn’t bring ourselves to blend away. When Vivid really hits, it reminds us of a great Thai curry dish: aromatic, layered, comforting, and electric all at once. It’s a wine with plenty of plushness, but it never loses its sense of lift.
Aromas of coconut milk, curry spice, vanilla bean crème brûlée, apricot, coriander, and lemongrass lead into rich, textured flavors of white miso, tahini, marzipan, pear, ginger, and hazelnut. There’s a mineral tension running through it that keeps everything in line. If you like Chardonnay that feels both generous and alive, this is your bottle.
