As you can probably tell, we like long-aging our Chardonnays, both in barrel and in stainless steel. We find that it deepens complexity, helps the wines tighten into focus, and lets them really find their place, so to speak. This vintage is a blend of fruit from Vivid Vineyard and Dion Vineyard, and we think it shows the beauty of Oregon Chardonnay in a way that’s generous, layered, and still very precise.
The nose leans into white flowers, lemon oil, ginger, and lime leaf, with sage and a touch of cardamom as it opens. The palate is silken and layered, with lemon curd, ripe pear, crème pâtissière, and subtle savory herbal notes. It’s rich enough to satisfy, but never heavy, finishing clean, elegant, and quietly persistent.
