We’ve always loved working with the old, own-rooted vines at Dion Vineyard, so it felt only right that one barrel eventually earned the SEMPERVIRENS treatment. This is that barrel. If you love Chardonnay with a touch of struck-match, wrapped around deep fruit and strong salinity, this one should speak to you.
Aromas of honey, lemon granita, flint, star anise, and white flowers lead into barely ripe peach, lemon pith, nectarine, minty lemon gelato, and a big salty pulse. It’s electric, full of verve, and incredibly refreshing, especially for a wine with this much depth. Very limited.
